NFU Mutual Agents and their staff at the local Warminster agency are delighted to have nominated local charities Dorothy House Hospice and Warminster Food Bank, to receive a donation from a national £1m 'Agency Giving Fund' launched by NFU Mutual's Head Office.

In light of the national emergency this country is facing, NFU Mutual, the UK's leading rural insurer, has allocated £1mto help local frontline charities at this difficult time.

To help ensure this support reaches all corners of the UK, NFU Mutual has reached out to its Appointed Representative network of local Agents. Consisting of circa 300 independent Agency businesses and 9 NFU Mutual Branches, each have been given the opportunity to nominate a handful of local charities to receive a share of this fund.

This donation will allow the Warminster & District Foodbank to continue to help provide for those in need. Maureen Woollard, from the Warminster Food Bank said 'Thank you once again for your thoughtfulness and support; the money will most certainly be used to benefit those who are in need at this very difficult time and for however long it lasts.

The donation to Dorothy House Hospice will allow them to reach more people to support the NHS and elevate some of their pressures at this time. The hospice have expanded their in-patient unit with a further 8 beds to receive more patients and to provide extra in the wider community.

Steph Cox, Community Fundraiser for Dorothy House said: "I wanted to personally thank your agency for choosing to support us at this very difficult time. Your donation will really support the hospice with the work we are doing to support our local community. "

NFU Mutual Warminster agency partners Samantha Weeks & Rob Maddocks said, "The Coronavirus pandemic has had a huge impact on everybody, including our customers and their local communities. The Warminster & District Foodbank and Dorothy House Hospice are making a wonderful difference to our community in these challenging times, and we are proud to have been able to nominate these local charities to benefit from NFU Mutual's national fund."
