No further action following dog attack in Frome

If you heard about a dog attack yesterday in the area around Asda in Frome ; the police have confirmed to Nub News that no further action is being taken.

In a release to Nub officers confirmed that they were called by the ambulance service to an incident in Frome.

They say police were called by South Western Ambulance Service at around 9.30pm on Monday 10 August with a report that a man had been bitten by a dog at an address in Frome.

On arrival officers established that the victim was the owner of the dog, and that the dog had become agitated during a walk in nearby fields. No other individuals were harmed.

Police have issued advice to the owner. No further action has been taken at this time.

The ambulance service later confirmed that they were called on Monday at 9.20pm about an incident on Clover Close, Frome. The crews treated a male patient at the scene and transported him to hospital by land ambulance with a serious arm injury. They did not give any further details of the level of injury.
