The North Parade car park in Frome was clear this morning (Saturday September 26) after travellers were moved out by the local council.

The action comes after weeks of negotiation with enforcers from Mendip District Council which runs the car park.

The travellers were ordered to leave at the beginning of the month having set up next door to Farleigh Further Education College.

They were served eviction notices to leave by the middle of September.

A contact from Nub News alerted us that they were moved on yesterday (September 25).
