The local golf club opened its gates today (May 13) and it was, as expected, incredibly busy.

Orchardleigh re-opened at 8am .

For two young boys from Frome it was extra exciting.

Brothers Owen and Ollie have been playing in their home's hallway - not quite as much fun as the green way.

As you can see they were thrilled to be back at Orchard Leigh.

They played nine holes today after seven weeks in lockdown.

The boys, both from Frome and members of the club, showed their enthusiasm and considerable skills.

A member of the golf club team said: " Tee times are available from 8am 24 hours in advance for visitors.

" We've been fully booked today, we only have one member of staff in the pro shop to comply with social distancing.

" There's no access into the shop for public, so everything is self served to golfers, so has been a very busy day for us, we haven't stopped since 8am this morning, the tee sheet was full up today from 8am-6pm.

" Only people with a tee booking are allowed at the golf club, and any bookings must be made in advance."

The staff member added please email [email protected] for booking enquiries and we will reply when we can.
