Frome Town Council has just released news that they have been told someone who was using the outdoor gym at the Old Showfield yesterday (September 24) has tested positive for Covid-19.

The Council has already been on site cleaning and disinfecting equipment and added : " We wanted to disinfect the equipment for peace of mind; but we wanted to let people know that this happened straight away."

The person who tested positive told social media that they found out through a routine test through work and had been displaying no symptoms. They apologised - but others on the thread praised them for coming forward so quickly and for being so considerate for others.

Frome Town Council reminded residents that they recommend that you wash or sanitise your hands before and after you use the equipment at any of the outdoor gym or play areas.
