The new play area at the Showfield was due to open earlier this year.

The Old Showfield is the largest green space in Frome, the home of Parkrun Frome, popular with walkers with and without dogs, users of the outdoor gym, and hosts regular football and cricket matches.

Frome Town Council said: " A great community space deserves a great playground, and we hope the new park will be enjoyed by everyone; a truly accessible space for all young people."
