Planning news in and around Frome this week and planning applications include:
An application for Approval of details reserved by condition 11 (hard and soft landscape scheme) and condition 37 (ecological mitigation) on planning consent 2017/0722/FUL. for land at Vallis Road in Frome. That is to start building on 64 new homes with associated parking, landscaping, open space and associated works and some B1 floorspace, replacing previous community hubs. B1 is under planning speak, space for light commercial working.
An application to reduce the height of a Norway Maple by seven metres at 8 Monmouth Paddock in Norton St Philip.
An application to build a single storey rear extension following the demolition of an existing kitchen and store and to put in a heat pump and solar panels on the roof of proposed extension. at 2 Woodmans Hill Berkley Cross to Kemps Lane in Berkley.
And in Stratton On The Fosse - under the plans already agreed to build up to 75 dwellings an application of approval of details reserved by condition 5 (Ground Levels), condition 6 (Construction Management Plan), condition 7 (Ecological Management Plan), condition 8 (Construction Environmental Management Plan), condition 9 (Vegetative Clearance), condition 10 (Surface Water Drainage), condition 12 (Foul Drainage), condition 13 (Arboricultural Method Statement) and condition 31 (External Walls - Schedule and Sample) reserved by planning consent 2021/0157/OTS. for land at Beauchamps Drive.

Planners have agreed an application for 22 King Street in Frome for a change of use from Sui generis to Class E (hairdressers).
An application by 7 Wallbridge in Frome, to reinstate two windows at second floor level; alterations to previously approved main gate, has been approved.
Approved: A non material amendment to the plans for building 82 homes at Green Pits Lane in Nunney.
Planners have no objection to plans to remove hedgerows at Rudge Lane in Rudge, to lay in a new water pipe.
Approved : Full reduction of a Horse Chestnut at Swallow Barn at The Cross in Buckland Dinham.
The homeowners of 17 High Street Rode have gained approval to cut back an Apple tree and a Magnolia at the property.
Also in Rode, 31 Lower Street have approval to fell a Magnolia.
