Planning news in and around Frome this week:

And we asked Greggs when this branch was opening up at Wessex Fields in Frome, the less than helpful answer ;

"Greggs is due to open a new shop in Frome later this year. While we are unable to share any details at the moment, we will be sure to share further information in the coming months."

In planning applications made to Mendip this week.

The owners of 4 South Parade in Frome have applied to remove the modern tiled plinth at the property. This is an addition to an existing application, with details under 2022/1086/LBC

Holmlea on Ridgeway Lane in Nunney under ref: 2022/0820/HSE, has applied to build a single storey rear extension with a veranda, following the demolition of an existing outbuilding and the addition of a new front driveway.

In planning decisions made this week by Mendip:

Approved, an application to build a single storey rear extension at 16 Heath Drive in Frome.

An application to vary conditions on permission 2021/2908/HSE ( which is to build a single storey side extension following the demolition of a garage). at Woodside Farm on the Old School to Bath Road in Woolverton, has been approved.

Also approved, an application to vary condition 2 (drawings) of planning approval 2021/2499/HSE, which will see a change roof tiles on the planning agreed at Forest View on Foghamshire Lane, in Trudoxhill near Frome.

While over at Knaphill Farm on Knapp Hill in Leigh On Mendip, planners have approved details reserved by conditions 4 (ducts, pipes, rainwater goods) 5 (bats) 6 (lighting design) 7 (Habitat bat roost type 001) 9 (Provision for nesting swallows) and 11 (hard and soft landscape scheme) on planning consent 2017/2726/FUL. Those are plans to convert and extend an existing barn into a single dwelling.
