Planning applications made in and around Frome this week include:

Oriel Lodge at 11 Gentle Street in Frome, under Ref. No: 2020/2273/DEM, have applied to demolish an existing lean-to building.

At 20 Victoria Road in Frome, homeowners have applied to convert an existing loft into bedroom accommodation, including a dormer roof extension to the rear plane of the roof. Ref. No: 2020/2265/CLP

The owners of North Hill North Parade Frome want to trim their hazel coppice. Ref. No: 2020/2294/TCA .

Under Reference 2020/2244/TCA the owners of 85 Oakfield Road Frome want to fell their Ornamental Cherry Tree.

At Kaylow on Rosedale Walk in Frome BA11 2JH, they have put in an application to build a first floor extension to north-west end above existing garage/studio. Open for comment under Ref. No: 2020/2240/HSE.

In Rode, 25A Lower Street has applied for a loft conversion. Ref. No: 2020/1997/HSE.

In Nunney they want to coppice some trees on land adjacent to Castle Street. Ref. No: 2020/2280/TCA

At 28 The Retreat in Frome they want to reduce the height of their lime tree by four to five metres. Ref. No: 2020/2238/TCA

On Weymouth Road at 26 and 28 they have put for several works to tree/s in the Conservation Area, including pruning the yew and hawthorn trees.Ref. No: 2020/2231/TCA

Planning decisions agreed this week by Mendip planners include:

Approved : Babington House can fell one oak tree and trim back another on grounds of the boutique hotel in Vobster.

In Buckland Dinham no objection to felling the Christmas tree at

Saddleback at The Cross BA11 2QS.

Prior approval has been refused on plans to convert a barn into a house at Court Farm Barns at Blatchbridge roundabout, BA11 5EN.

Tree works at 4 Gentle Street in Frome have been agreed.

Approved with conditions proposed change of use of the land at 378484 153470 Old School to Bath Road in Woolverton Frome, to turn an existing farm building into an equestrian arena and access track, siting of a horse walker and temporary equestrian workers dwelling and associated landscape works.

Also approved with conditions plans for a single storey rear extension

at 29 Goose Street in Beckington.

Also approved with conditions the building of a single storey orangery extension at 39 Croscombe Gardens in Frome.

Approved by planners the installation of two new CCTV dome cameras at the front of the Lloyds TSB bank at 25 Cheap Street in the centre of Frome.

While over in Chilcompton an application to build 17 new single storey employment units on land at 364822 150483 the South Rock Industrial Estate has been approved with conditions.
