Planning news in and around Frome, and current applications include:
An application has been made to build a four bedroomed home and create a new carport. on land at 378279 148434 Rodden Road in Frome.
An application is in for the Creation of additional parking, erection of two bay garage, installation of artist's studio & internal alterations. at Argyll House on Bath Street in Frome.
An application for a Proposed detached 'outbuilding' at 23 Acacia Drive in Frome.
The homeowners of Catherine House on Cork Street have put in an application to fell a Sorbus at the property, T1-Sorbus- Fell.
There are also tree works applied for at the Old Vicarage on Vicarage Street in Frome. They want to fell a Lime and a Yew tree among other works. Details HERE
Over in Tytherington, an Application for a proposed lawful development certificate use of land for siting mobile home that is ancillary to the main dwelling.

Planning decisions made this week over in Mendip include:
Tree felling and pruning at the The Blue House on The Bridge in Frome, including felling a Poplar tree have been approved.
Also approved, an application to reduce the crown on an Apple tree at 14 Willow Vale in Frome.
Over at Meadows on Fosse Road in Oakhill, an application for a certificate of lawful existing development (non-compliance with planning permission ref: 034627/002) which is to convert a building to form holiday letting accommodation), for use of property as a C3 dwelling on an unrestricted basis, has been ruled lawful. They have agreed that an application to Trinity House Goulds Ground in Frome to put in windows to first floor rear elevation is a lawful development and will be awarded a certificate to show that.
An application for a Rear single storey extension, attic conversion with roof lights on 26 Victoria Road in Frome, has been approved.
An application to Sand & paint flooring, paint internal walls. at the Market House on Bridge Street in Frome, has been approved.

And in case you missed it, Frome Community Bike Project has an application in two put two shipping containers (12mx2.5m) and one log cabin (8.5x3.5m) at Frome's station approach. Details are under REF 2022/2301/FUL, with a lot of supportive comments already put on the site. One person has written that : " The project will be a valuable asset to Frome, providing support to the cycling public and work opportunities, both voluntary and paid. The use of this site will bring additional diversity to the businesses operating in the station area and is far more appropriate than trying to use this small parcel of land for residential use or similar."
