A number of bikers have been handed police warnings after riding along the bridal paths in Asham Woods.

The rider of a horse was reportedly thrown from their horse which was spooked by the riders over the weekend.

The rider did not sustain serious injuries.

But officers from the Frome & Shepton Mallet Neighbourhood Policing teams responded to "multiple reports" of off-road bikes causing anti-social behaviour along the bridal paths.

A drone was used to locate some of the bike riders involved.

"These riders were issued Section 59 warnings for causing ASB whilst riding off-road," a police statement said.

"If they are caught engaging in this same ASB within 12 months of receiving this warning, their bikes will be seized."
