The lovely WHY Gallery on Stony Street in Frome, which closed at Christmas looks like staying open a little longer.

The We Hear You charity which offers counselling sessions said falling sales led to the closure.

But now they have posted that the (equally lovely) shop opposite, Postscript has taken on the lease and will be opening up.

The news was released in November.

They said on social media:

"Thanks for all your support over the last 8 years, buying local artists and makers' work and raising money for charity WHY.

Sadly, we have to close because of reducing sales.

But, brilliantly, PostScript owners, Rachel & Garry, have taken on the lease so we've handed over the keys and it will still look like the WHY gallery for a little while until they do their exciting re-launch. "

Next door to the WHY Gallery space, formerly a sandwich shop, is going to become a noodle bar in February.
