This incredibly rare, and quite beautiful car, has been stolen from its owner's home in Frome and now the family have put out an appeal to get it back.

The car, one of perhaps only a handful still in existence, was taken on May 4 around lunchtime.

And if you are not a rare car collector, it is a 1978 British Racing Green Mini Pick-up - which has been lovingly restored over the past few years.

It's distinctive because there's not many of them about on the roads - one estimate is that there are only around 20 left - registration WWB 376S.

The owner's family, who posted the appeal, say that they hope the rare nature of the car will make it very difficult to hide.
