A wonderful new film has been released to support the campaign to retain the right to walk a key pathway through Frome which is under threat from developers.

The Save River Frome pathway campaigners say that the rare eco system along the river : " Belongs to us all, it would be a tragedy to lose it."

Mendip planners will discuss imposing a right of way on the path at their committee meeting on the 28th January.

Developers are still adamant that there is no right of way although the campaigners say they have supplied proof that the path has been a right of way for at least 40 years.

Although supporters say on the film that they have produced that the way skirting the River Frome has probably been used for centuries.

Campaigner Chloe Jones told Nub News : " We have created a film to highlight the importance of the pathway to the Frome community. This is a tragedy for the town if we lose this.

" As lockdown restrictions get tighter and tighter and people are warned to only go out in their local area, maintaining access to this pathway for the residents of Frome is more important than ever. "
