Selwood stores - shut up for so long over winter we feared for its future but has opened and is an expansion

A store in Frome has re-opened under new and much-loved local management.

When Selwood Stores closed up last year, it seemed that the shop might be another commercial victim of coronavirus.

Frome Nub News tried to get an update on the stores on the Selwood Road next door to the hairdressers, but was unsuccessful.

But now we understand that it is a commercial expansion story, something not that usual these days, even in Frome.

The stores have been taken over by popular local couple

Bratheeb and Virgini who had previously opened up a convenient sore on 56A Great Western Street in Frome - in the middle of the coronavirus pandemic. Frome Nub News reported on their opening of Great Western Community Store in October 2020 HERE: and what they offer The expansion into the other side of Frome has been welcomed by customers, who have been treated to a rare selection of unusual spices, as very reasonable local prices. Fresh curry leaves for example. Selwood Stores is at 47 Selwood Road.
