For lovers of snow it was enough to call it a snowfall here in Frome in the early hours of December 29.

Technically it might be considered sleet or perhaps even freezing rain, but plenty of fans welcomed snow to Frome for the first time this winter - although there was not perhaps not enough to make a snowman.

It was exactly zero at 9 am this morning according to the thermometer on the sign at the Jf MoT centre on the Marston Trading Estate in Frome,

But the Met Office has just issued a yellow warning for all of Somerset for Wednesday and Thursday.

Travel Somerset has put out an alert warning:

-Railway car Bus and train services may be delayed or cancelled

-There is a chance of travel delays on roads

-High voltage sign power cuts may occur

- Be careful on icy surfaces
