Some VIPs at the Friends of Frome hospital event

By Susie Watkins 1st Feb 2020

There were some Very Important Pooches at Frome hospital today (Saturday).

The dogs were there to highlight a unique new service, Dogs for Health, which is a new totally project aiming to use dogs as a way of connecting with people who are ill, or lonely, or who just want to feel loved.

Their aim is "Building relationships with dogs to encourage people to engage with other options to support wellbeing and personal development."

They are busy fundraising and getting projects off the ground with the help of local paramedics and, of course, some very special dogs.

The Friends will be at the hospital the first Saturday of every month with cakes, special guests and news about their fundraising.
