The #StayAtHome message has been re-issued by Somerset County Council, with a poster showing how restrictions still apply until March 29.

It depicts the eight reasons you are permitted to leave home.

The coronavirus message still encouraging residents to stay at home comes as some areas of Somerset have shown small increases in the number of cases over a seven day period.

South Somerset reported to March 12 weekly cases at 95, so back up to the same number for the period to February 19, and up from 80 cases reported to March 5.

Although public health officials are keen to stress that changes in the numbers could be attributed to earlier under reporting or data inconsistencies, it is a concern.

Within Mendip, the latest numbers have seen coronavirus cases fall from 54 to 47, with the R rate across Somerset now set at between 0.5 and 0.8.
