Somerset road closures due to storm, with River Brue flood warning

Frome is currently missing the worst of Storm Ciaran.

However other parts of Somerset have been badly hit and the River Brue around Glastonbury is now expected to flood from Lovington to Highbridge, low lying properties.

Latest warnings of road flooding (as of midday November 2) from Travel Somerset include:

A37 Ilchester Rd - Coppits Hill Lane to Vagg Lane

A358 Donyatt

A356 Norton Sub Hamdon

A378 Wrantage – affected by flooding

B3168 Ilton to Curry Rivel

Stoke Road near Stoke Sub Hamdon Pitway Hill.

Hawthorn Hill, Broadmead and Coat Rd, at Gawbridge Rd junction Hawthorn Hill at the Kingsbury Rhyne culvert.

Stibbear Lane near Donyatt A359 open following earlier flooding

A378 Wrantage-approach with care

The Environment Agency now has 78 flood warnings in place across the UK. You can check the list HERE
