Last Super Moon of 2021 captured by photographer

25th Jun 2021 | Local News

It was the last super moon of 2021 last night, known as the strawberry moon.

Alas, although it was super , as you can see it wasn't red and it didn't look like a strawberry.

This particular full moon is called the strawberry moon because according to folklore it signalled the start of the best time of the year to gather ripening strawberries.

It was the fourth and final super moon of 2021 - the time when the moon looks bigger and brighter than usual because it is closer than usual to the Earth - and the first full moon of the summer.

Thank you to Mike Read for the photos taken from White Sheet Hill, over in Wiltshire.
