Frome Neighbourhood Policing Team has reported that it has another camera now installed in Victoria Park.

That brings to three now, cameras with a range of three covering the park just off Weymouth Road in Frome and the play area of Mary Bailey Park next door.

The area has a reputation for anti social behaviour and the toilets in the park are still being renovated following them being vandalised over the summer.

The camera has been a joint effort by Avon and Somerset police, the bowl's club and Frome Town Council.

Although the park is seen as somewhere that attracts anti social behaviour, the latest figures for that postcode in Frome, as of September this year, show that the highest recorded crime levels are for sexual and violent offences, nearly double those of anti social behaviour.
