UPDATE : Frome stabbing victim is out of hospital : So is another man injured the following night

The police have updated Nub News on the events on Friday and Saturday night in a small area of Frome.

On Friday (July 24) a 22 year old was stabbed on Vallis Way in the town at 11.45pm.

He has now been discharged from hospital. Police are continuing their investigations.

Meanwhile on Saturday night (July 26) the Artisan pub was closed early after by police after a big fight outside the venue.

Officers were called at approximately 9.40pm on Saturday 25 July to reports of disorder in Frome.

They were told a number of people had been fighting in Christchurch Street West near The Artisan pub. The premises was subsequently closed by police.

A man in his 20s sustained a laceration to his head and was taken to hospital in an ambulance by paramedics. He has also since been discharged from hospital.

A 29-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of inflicting grievous bodily harm. He has been released under investigation.

The two events are not believed to have been linked in any way.
