Vehicle fire in Frome believed to be arson

A vehicle fire in East Woodlands Road, Frome, last night (September 18) is believed to be an arson attack.

Just after 8.30pm, two fire appliances from Frome were mobilised following reports of a vehicle fire along the road.

On arrival, crews confirmed one abandoned vehicle well alight. Crews used two hose reel jets to extinguish the fire.

The vehicle was destroyed by fire with some surrounding hedgerow and Tarmac affected by the blaze.

The cause of the fire was deemed as deliberate and the police have been informed.
