Two new show homes celebrating the best of independent local businesses have been unveiled at a development of new homes in Frome.
Housebuilder Wain Homes has opened the doors to its Lavender and Whitebeam three-bedroom show homes at the Keyford on the Green development on Little Keyford Lane and tasked interior designers Blocc to incorporate products and artwork to showcase Frome's thriving independent creative sector.
Frome paper and scissor artist, Rebecca Coles, was commissioned to produce a bespoke, statement hand-cut butterfly artwork featured in the Whitebeam, and Westbury artist and illustrator Helen Chester has also created multiple tailored artwork pieces for the project.
The two new show homes also feature a range of accessories available from local shops and galleries, including vases and décor from Black Swan Gallery on Bridge Street, homeware from Kobi and Teal Gallery on Catherine Street and toiletries from Foundry Formulas, produced less than one mile from the development.
Franchesca Detain, sales manager for Wain Homes, said: "Our approach to the two new show homes was to highlight the fantastic array of skilled local independent artists and traders so close to our Keyford on the Green development and to inspire visitors on stunning interior design which can be achieved by sourcing sustainable decor on the doorsteps.
"The result reflects Frome's reputation for a thriving and vibrant collection of businesses which help make the town a fantastic place to live."
Blocc Interiors also selected a range of sustainable fabrics and eco-wallpapers to further enhance the sustainability message behind the home designs.
Suzanne Thomas, creative sales director at Blocc Interiors, said: "The Lavender property is focussed on environmental credentials and presents a bold, bright, fresh and funky theme that we know will appeal to those looking to really put an independent stamp on their home. The monotones, accents of mustard and tan and panelling textures all help to create a genuine 'wow' factor in a home which is far from the ordinary.
"In the Whitebeam, we have achieved a more relaxed country modern style, with tonal peaches and greens and beige textures really reflecting the natural beauty of Frome. This is a more subtle style of design, using a softer colour palette, meaning everyone should find something they like in either of the two new homes."
All Wain Homes' new homes at Keyford on the Green embrace sustainable living, featuring air source heat pumps, solar panels and EV charging points.
There are currently a range of three and four-bedroom homes for sale, with prices starting from £340,000 and Rate Reducer new build mortgages available on selected plots. Wain Homes is holding a 100% part exchange weekend at Keyford on the Green on 6 and 7 July.
