The new toilets in Victoria Park are now open to the public, following refurbishment in 2023, which included moving the entrance to the toilets to face the footpath through the park between Somerset Road and Park Road.

Vandalism had previously forced the closure of the loos over the school summer holidays, and work began on the new toilet block in September.

The new toilets have two single, gender-neutral lockable cubicles, which are designed to improve safety for users and enable parents to accompany children into the cubicle.

Another lockable cubicle with an accessible loo and shower facility will be opened once accredited.

Cllr Mark Dorrington said "We know the people of Frome have been very keen to see the Victoria Park toilet block back in service and it's great to see them open again.

"Moving the doors to the other side of the building has solved the longstanding issues with flooding by the former entrance, improves sight lines for safety and makes them easier to access for families using the Mary Baily playing field."

The new toilet block is open from 8am to 5pm daily.
