At last week's Green Breather Day visitors were offered a free bike check up, part of a push to get people in the town out on two wheels rather than four.
Now Frome Nub News understands there are plans for a new cycling bike project, which has plans to take off later this year, possibly with space at the station approach.
At the Breather Day we met Doctor Bike who was offering a service. He told us: " We were offering people the chance to get their bike looked over, tyres pumped up, mostly a safety check, all for free."
The push for pedal power does not stop there however,
Dr Bike happens all over the country but this Frome doctor, who also does some e bike training for Frome Town Council told us: " I am very keen cyclist and this is part of a bigger campaign to get people out cycling, get them interested in sustainable transport, getting them to do things other than driving, which also keeps you fit."
Watch this space though, for Frome Community Bike Project.
An upcoming Community Interest Company - currently made up of four individuals has grown out of what was known as a Bike Jumble.
" That got bigger and better and so we thought we need something a bit more permanent. So we want to run a bike project. Taking donated bikes, refurbish them and sell them on. Any money made will be given to the Missing Links project."
Missing Links is the project to join up with Colliers Way, a family-friendly, traffic-free path to Radstock, enjoyed by many walkers, runners, riders and cyclists. For a long time plans have been in place to continue this route alongside the existing railway line, onto the riverside footpath and into Frome.
The Frome Community Bike Project, in addition to pushing for people to get onto bikes will also be offering other cycling services such as short courses on how to fix your own bike. The Project will be launching a crowd funding campaign in early September to kick start the operation.
Frome Town Council also leases out e-bikes for free for a month, to get the town interested.
