Spring is on the horizon and there is a lot springing up in the town, not least a date for your diary, the town's Kindness Festival, March 16-22.

Coming in March, they have already put a deposit in the bank in the centre of town, the now disused HSBC building. More HERE

Meantime get ready it is back, the Frome Independent returns on Sunday March 3.

On Friday, how about an evening of live Hip Hop ? Bursting with invention, the Scribes Boombox is a brand new project born of multi-award winning act The Scribes.

Consisting of lyricist/producer Ill Literate and beatbox maestros Pye & Milky, the group's unique talents have combined to make a trademark sound unlike any other, featuring a seamless blend of live instrumentation and sampling set against a block rocking backdrop of booming beatboxing.

Known for critically acclaimed performances full of energy, improvisation and off the cuff freestyling, the group have performed together at festivals across the UK, including such legendary stages as Glastonbury, Wireless, Isle Of Wight, WOMAD, Boomtown, Electric Picnic (Ireland), Urban In Ibiza, Latitude and Wilderness

Also Friday, which is March 1, this Frome town centre pub re-opens for business. The George has been undergoing major renovations including painting a new sign on the facade. Looking forward to seeing how it looks inside and the live music at the launch party. See below.

On Saturday at the Memorial Theatre, guess who will be coming to explore? Sir Ranulph Fiennes Mad, Bad & Dangerous - we understand tickets are rare but here is how you might be able to call the theatre to see if there are any returns. HERE

And yes Sunday, it is back on the streets of Frome.

The Frome Independent 2024 returns, not everyone's favourite exploration but there are ALWAYS lots of visitors in the streets of Catherine Hill, Market Place, and The Westway.

See you there?
