Whats On in Frome this coming weekend - and don't forget to breathe for the trees

Coming up this weekend in Frome.

On Friday. He is a total legend. Two-Tone music "Legend" Neville Staple, 'From the Specials', also known as the 'Original Rude Boy' celebrates the 40th Anniversary of Ghost Town, Playing the Cheese & Grain, more details HERE:

All day Saturday.

It is the first Frome Green Breather Days. Launching on the 21st of May to help cut air pollution in the town centre and to encourage people to explore how these spaces could be used as a new public area. The Green Breather Days are a series of Saturdays between May and September. This Saturday's theme will be a Pop-Up Forest

Forty-five trees will be placed across the closure zone, creating Frome's newest park. People are invited to come and explore the space, grab some food from a local business, and enjoy the tranquillity of an urban forest.

Saturday at The Merlin. Four ballets, from internationally acclaimed Choreographer and Principal Character artist of the Royal Ballet, Alastair Marriott and the award-winning Ashley Page. Sublime doesn't begin to describe this show.

Then on Sunday. It is the official start of the box officer opening of the altogether fabulous Frome Festival . To raise money for the festival and for another local Frome charity, on Sunday 22nd May, they are organising an afternoon of Jazz and cream teas. (2pm-4.30pm).Sandy Ince with the mesmerising Sticky Toffee Jazz, will be performing at Rook Lane Chapel. Sweet.

All in all Frome is in for a scrummy weekend.
