Whats On this coming weekend in Frome - and on Sunday of course it is the return of the Frome Independent.

Friday: On at The Memorial in Frome . The Little Mermaid the musical. The Frome Musical Theatre Company's award winning Youth Section, Spellbound, has worked wonders before performing musicals such as Blitz! Seussical and their most recent production Bugsy Malone. The cast are so talented and often receive comments like 'I can't believe they're all under 16!' or 'It is really impossible to mention everybody who was impressive, because they all were!'
Saturday : Get your youngsters growing, a marvellous opportunity in Mells. A family gardening workshop, introducing children and parents to the wonders of growing from seed. Learn more HERE

And on Sunday if you want to escape the crowds, the crafts and creatives why not head to Langport ?
As part of the annual Glorious Open Gardens on behalf of St Margaret's Hospice, Hurds Hill, Westover, Langport, Somerset TA10 0ND will be open to the public on Sunday 7th August 2022 between 2.00pm – 5.00pm.
A Regency country house and garden set on a hill with far reaching views of the Somerset Levels. Featuring large herbaceous borders, fruit orchard, and extensive grounds. Eclectic planting, with architectural plants, and shrubs set off by often bold herbaceous perennials. Relax on the terrace and soak up the view.
The garden is largely wheelchair and pushchair friendly. Refreshments and toilet facilities will be available and dogs are welcome provided they are on a lead. Entry Fee: £3.00
