The owner of Frome's Gingerbread House which is lighting up lives and raising money for cancer research is the latest person to get a secret Santa gift through the letter box.

Someone has been sending out little sweet Thank You's : This has now included Tony Hodges who says it has cheered his day.

He told Nub News : " I'm not sure who it is but I'm determined to find out so I can thank them and let know this lovely person know how much it means to us at the Gingerbread House. "

Tony has lit up his house on The Butts for charity, you can read about it by clicking HERE : the Frome Nub News site

He didn't do it to get personal gifts, but to raise important funds for cancer research, that said he told us he and his family are delighted that someone took to the trouble to appreciate his work.

Tony told Nub News : " It's such a lovely thing to do and the fact that it's a gift from a child makes it all the more special to us. It's little things like that which make all the difference in these hard times. I've hung the card from my garland on the mantle piece above the TV where it will stay all throughout the holidays.

"I love Frome, the amazing people and the community we have here. Everyone is so friendly, helpful and caring. Its a wonderful place to live and I consider myself very lucky to be included in it. "

If you know of other people who have received gifts, please let us know here at Nub News. While the gift giver may want to remain anonymous, we can at least say thank you here on our site.

The Gingerbread House fundraising pot is now up to £830 with Tony and HIS little elves hoping to make it £1000 by Christmas.
