You missed a treat : A great game up at The Robins

Frome football fans had a real Tuesday evening pick me up - after a tough day with the latest coronavirus news which could have a big impact on takings up at the club house.

But all that was set aside with a blistering match as The Robins took on the tough opponents from Hampshire, AFC Stoneham.

The home side were on top form, with some great performances and offering up a trio of fab goals in the first half.

The first by Jake Jackson, the second a smasher by Joe O'Loughlin ( who was Man of the Match), and a third cool as you like let this one past the goalie by Kane Simpson.

Stoneham took one back to send the sides to the changing rooms at half time with a comfortable 3 : 1 lead to Frome.

If we were picky the second half was not so much fun- but there was a fourth and final goal from a penalty off the boot of Jon Davis.

" He never misses, " enthused the fan next to me. And true to form he didn't.

So all in all a good night at the Nest.

Did we mention that The Robins are the through to second round of the Emirates FA Cup? As the club posted on their social media " It's not bad this cup run lark!"
