This Sunday, Frome Under 15's travelled to Chippenham for the Dorset and Wilts League fixture versus Chippenham Under 15's. 

Chippenham opened the game, by latching onto a kick ahead and mauling over the try line, for a 7 v 0 lead. After 10 minutes, there was a dominant carry from Toby Cassidy in the midfield, he offloaded the ball to Liam Backhurst, who continued the run. A penalty was awarded to Frome and kicked deep, but the ball was turned over and cleared. 

The home side had successive attacks, over the next few minutes. Frome defended brilliantly and held up three attacks on the line in a row, before Chippenham eventually went over for another score. 

Rob Norris and Rufus Phelps tackled from the resulting kick off and Frome turned the ball over. Aelfric Bidder latched onto a short ball from the back of a ruck and beat two defenders, but the ball was stolen and Chippenham counter attacked and scored a close range try in the corner. The half-time score was 22 v 0. 

The second half began with sustained Frome pressure. Alfie Newbery took a quick tap and fed Harrie Webster. The fly-half unleashed Cassidy, who swerved through the midfield but was tackled short of the line. Over the next minute, Ben Freeman and Bidder beat defenders at will, but the final pass did not quite fall to the intended hands, and the pressure was eased by the home side. 

Harry Greenwood, Phelps and Webster continued to tackle well, in defence as the attack changed hands. With ten minutes left of the game, Chippenham kicked into the Frome 22. Backhurst gathered well, sprinted and flicked the ball inside to Josh Clarke - who sprinted up the wing and was narrowly adjudged to have been in touch.

Frome's defensive dam was eventually burst again, as Chippenham scored in the corner, for the final score of the game. 

Both teams contributed to a competitive league encounter, with Chippenham deserved winners.
