Frome RFC U14's News | Dyson 7's

The Frome RFC U14's joined three other teams in the Finals Day of the Dyson 7's Tournament, in the May sunshine of the Bath Rec. This followed an earlier qualifying tournament at North Dorset in April.

Frome began against Wimborne RFC, a wonderful game, filled with tries and attacking intent galore. Despite a last minute try from Frome, Wimborne edged the game 35 - 28.

Next up for Frome was Salisbury RFC. Again, lots of tries - a huge squad effort from Frome, with front foot domination and some excellent handling, which led to great running tries. It was Frome who came out on-top 33 - 12.

The final group game, was Frome versus Chippenham RFC. This game was an extremely physical match. After an exchange of two tries each, Chippenham eventually pulled away winning 31 - 14.

Frome had one final game, the third place play off match. This, against Salisbury Frome won, 15 - 7. Meaning the Frome U14's finished in third place overall - after qualifying well for the final - the coaches, friends and family who enjoyed being part of the day at The Rec - are hugely proud of the achievements of the team. A great way to end an excellent season.

Congratulations to Wimborne RFC - who won the tournament overall and thank you to our hosts Bath Rugby and Dyson.

Frome squad : Oscar Stickley, Archie Pearn, Josh Clarke, Harry Greenwood, Oscar Wallis, Toby Cassidy and Ewan Cox, Zac Sibley, Rob Norris, Alfie Newbery, Harrie Webster and Aelfric Bidder

Well done also to Frome RFC's U15's Fin, Freddie, Bryn, Isaac, Reggie and Henry for attending Sunday's Bath Rugby Developing Player Programme (DPP) internal festival at North Dorset RFC
