Football is thriving in Frome

Frome Town United FC emerged in 2020, which may seem quite young, however the club was developed from Frome Town Youth, Frome Town Robins, and Frome Collegians AFC. This also provides a pathway to established clubs as Frome Town FC, Collegians AFC, Frome Town Ladies FC and Mells FC.

We offer football to both boys and Girls of all abilities from the age of 5 all the way to 18, our youth teams play in the Midsomer Norton Youth Football League, Mid-Wilts leagues and Somerset Floodlit League. Our girl' s teams play in the Wiltshire Girls League, we also deliver a Weetabix Wildcats Football Centre in Frome, in partnership with Somerset FA. Frome Town United are also able to provide mascots for Frome Town FC and the Frome Town Ladies FC.

Frome Town United coaches are all FA qualified in coaching football and hold first aid in football qualifications. They are also trained in safeguarding children and are DBS checked.

Frome Town is a 2star England accredited club. This acknowledges the most advanced level of club development and football provision. Clubs achieving accredited status can be proud to be the best place for people to play and enjoy football. They are able to demonstrate positive football environments where people can develop their skills, keep fit and enjoy playing as part of a friendly, safe and inclusive community.

FTU FC currently have 34 teams in action and with nearly 700 registered players, the home ground is at Critchill Manor, just off the Nunney Road where we have 6 football pitches. We do engage with many sponsors in and around Frome and thank them for their support.

We would like to appeal for any referees old and new, as we rely on their support every weekend, and we are always looking for coaches within our network, if there are any interested parties, please contact [email protected]
