Nerves are shredded with seven minutes injury time played out before Frome Town FC take another win
Frome Town FC played hard and played defensively to secure a nail-biting win against Evesham and will now head off to their FA cup tie on Saturday with high spirits. But the match up at Badgers Hill was not a walk in the park, with a seemingly unassailable lead of 3:1 then turned into a nail biting last few minutes with Evesham clawing back another goal.
Into seven minutes of injury time the home supporters were all checking their watches and wondering why THESE minutes were passing so slowly in this all important league game.
But with the final whistle, huge relief for The Robins who now go off to Kent on Saturday to play a thriller of a game in the FA cup tie.
Tonight (September 26) goals from Maidment, Rusher (who was also named Man Of The Match) and Ollis.
Frome Town FC will now be heading off at around 5 am on Saturday to travel to the South Coast, to Ramsgate, hoping that with another win under their belts, their eighth in nine games, will be just the boost they need.
Then on October 7 the team will travel to Taunton to play Bishops Cleeve in the FA Trophy.
The next home game is on October 13 when Frome Town play Mousehole.
