It was a game of two halves, on a March day when the weather, as Charles Dickens wrote, was all heat in the sun and then bitterly cold in the shadows.

So the first half and that was definitely in the sunshine Frome Town FC were on a streak that seemed unstoppable. Goal after goal as the Bideford goalkeeper peered into the sunshine and seemed to be pleading, make this stop.

The first two goals from captain Sam Teale seemed to seal the team's fate, followed ten minutes later by a goal by Kane Simpson and then a fourth put in the back of the net by James Ollis.

So the team, who were playing a team who are also The Robins, headed into half time warmed by the score line record crowd, a full four nil up.

On their return the second half was always going to be a much chillier game, whether in expectation of nothing more exciting to come, or substitutions of team favourites and Man Of The Match, Sam Teale, Jon Davies and then Kane Simpson.

But it was a pretty dull affair for the 615 strong crowd up at Badgers Hill, who at least could be warmed by the fact this was another strong win at home for the side.

Perhaps the only excitement, a yellow card to someone in the Devon dug out. Although Frome Nub News was unable to make out why.

Final score 4 : 0 to Frome Town FC.

According to the team statistician, Frome's recent form has been nothing short of exceptional and it certainly seemed the team was full of verve.

They headed into this game with 19 points picked up out of a possible 21 in the last seven games.
