Its been a tough time for the Frome RFC 2nd XV since gaining promotion this season, the new league provided some huge tests with well-established 1st XV's, and a string of injuries throughout the senior set up has hindered any progress.

The New Year would see another stern test, with bottom placed Frome 2nds taking on the top spot held by Wimborne RFC 1st XV.

The Visitors showcased their skill and strength from the off, scoring plenty of try's from all across the park, and despite the best efforts of the Frome players, who showed their class by fighting to the very end it was a tough day in the office.

There were some positives to take from the heavy defeat, with stand out performances from Tom Weston and Ben Eley.

This weekend see's the 2nd XV travel to bath to face Avonvale RFC 1st XV.
