It was two nil up as Frome Town FC went into half time against Willand Rovers FC.
Double joy for Warren Maidment, who first scored in the first minute and a solid defensive display saw the Robins head into the dressing rooms pretty chuffed with their performance.
Back out after half time and it was Sam Meakes who put in a third, following on from some fancy footwork from favourite, and sporting a very nice moustache, Jon Davies.
A few nervous minutes left and there was a red card for Reece Rusher who had to leave a buzzing Badgers Hill after going into a challenge off the ground.
But the Robins held their nerve, through an added five minutes extra time too, leaving the full time score a solid home win for Frome 3: 0.
Willand, from just outside Exeter, were sitting top of the Southern League Division One South, but have played more games, so this result puts Frome Town FC level on points with three games still in hand.
All in all a good afternoon for the town side and their supporters, with a healthy 436 strong crowd watching the game.
