On a heavy looking pitch, the early minutes saw the home side setting up camp in the opposition's 22.
This early pressure was rewarded with a try, following some quick thinking from scrum half Alfie Newbery. Spreading the ball wide, he allowed Harrie Webster the opportunity to complete the fast flowing move with a try and give Frome an early lead.
The half started and continued with some heavy, hard-hitting tackles from both sides, gaining both sides yellow cards.
Frome pressure continued, and the home team was rewarded with a clever try from Toby Cassidy following multiple clever dummy passes, giving him the space to break through and help his side to a deserved 10- 0 lead.
Following a sequence of rare outings into the oppositions half, North Dorset left empty handed and frustrated as Archie Pearn ran through for his first try, and with the conversion secured, Frome were looking comfortable at 17 - 0.
Instructions from Frome's Coach cut through the mild March air and together with flashes of the cyan blue scrum cap of Freddie Corp, Frome saw out the first half with a second try for Cassidy, sneaking in at the corner.
Substitutions saw Ben Llewhellin, Harry Greenwood, Stuart Carpenter, Jonas Mills and Rufus Phelps enter the fray to continue the home sides' dominance over their visitors.
Following some dogged defending from North Dorset, Frome broke to secure a very well taken team try, secured by Phelps.
At times, the home team seemed to pass and offload the ball as freely as the great Welsh teams of Gareth Edwards and JPR Williams and after spreading the play, this was just as easy as the Welsh found it. A fine team effort giving the home side a 27 - 0 lead.
The dominance continued and for all of the pressure they faced, North Dorset heads never seemed to drop and their efforts were rewarded with a try of their own.
Frome responded almost immediately with another fine try to stamp their authority on the game. There was no mistaking it, the game belonged to Frome.
With the points secured from the assured kicking of Greenwood from an acute angle, the game ended with Frome taking the points.
Final score Frome 34- 5 North Dorset
Player of the Match: Cassidy and Phelps
