The Barclays bank in the centre of Frome has re-opened with social distancing measures in place as customers enter and revised opening hours.

It will be closed on Tuesdays and Thursdays but is open today (July 8) until 2pm.

The opening hours are: Monday 9.30am to 2pm, Wednesday 10.00am to 2pm and Friday 9.30am to 2pm.

A Barclays spokesperson said: "We apologise for any convenience caused to our customers."

Before it re-opened the nearest Barclays branch to Frome was at Trowbridge.

A spokesperson for the bank said: "We encourage our customers to do their banking online, by telephone, or by using the Barclays App. Customers can also undertake everyday banking such as paying in, taking money out or obtaining a balance at any local Post Office."
