Frome College confirm they will be joining Midsomer Norton School Partnership, along with Oakfield Academy

Frome College has set the date to join the local academy partnership, bring the total number of schools in the group to 34.

The College says this will mean an exciting times ahead for the school, which up until now had operated independently

Ms Emma Reynolds, Principal of Frome College, said on the web site:"The partnership between Frome College, Critchill , Oakfield Academy, and Trinity First School, as part of the Midsomer Norton Schools Partnership, is an exciting development for the town's school system. Pupils, teachers, and the community will all benefit from the enhanced educational opportunities, improved resources, and continuity of education. This collaboration marks a significant milestone in the pursuit of excellence in education for the town of Frome."

In 2021 Frome College celebrated its one hundred years anniversary as a place of education in the town It was formerly Frome County School, it then became Frome Grammar School before becoming Frome Community College in 1974.

Trinity First School in Frome is also awaiting approval to join MNSP. The Partnership which was established in 2010. was judged to be high performing by Ofsted in June 2023.

Frome College is expected to formally join the partnership in March.
