Whats On in Frome this coming weekend?

Well on already a wonderful pop up cafe to support local charity WHY We Hear You at Rook Lane Chapel.

On until 13th July. serving sweet and savoury snacks and hot and cold drinks with a smile. Better still, enjoy a treat in the knowledge that the money you spend helps people in our community who need specialist support because they're affected or bereaved by a life threatening condition. 

At the chapel an amazing photo exhibition read all about it HERE Big, bold and some of it out of this world.

On Friday , the Frome Festival kicks off and at the Silk Mill it was like a lottery win they say. Mighty One a six-piece band born out of a 2020 lockdown recording project had their early demo releases hailed as "track of the week" by BBC Introducing. More details HERE

Also Friday, something very special on Cheap Street HERE . Juan Picard with a special traditional Spanish tapas menu

On Saturday , Frome's acclaimed Small Publishers' Fair at the Silk Mill a day for readers, writers, publishers, artists, illustrators and visitors of all ages, with books and small press publications to interest, excite and buy. Readers – browse among the fabulous books for sale. Writers – whether you write for adults, young adults or children, you'll find friendly authors at our information stand to answer questions on editing, agents and publishing. A must for all book lovers! 10am-3pm. FREE

And of course on Sunday : The town will be teeming with the return of the Frome Independent. So if you want to escape the crowds head off to Rook Lane Chapel where Bath's Magalleria, the best and most exclusive magazine independent retailer in the UK will be setting out its store, alongside the PhotoFrome creatives and of course that wonderful WHY cake. Why - do you need to ask?

Meantime Frome Town Band presented Fair Frome with a cheque for £250, proceeds from all their performances over the Jubilee Weekend with busks, and donations. They will be playing again July 10, a traditional and modern brass music, FREE EVENT picnic in Victoria Park 3pm
