Frome Town FC has welcomed news that it is getting funding from the Premier League's Matchday Support Fund
The Club said on its web site the money will: " Help us navigate the impact of the Coronavirus on football and to help the safe return of supporters to The Robins' Nest."
The Matchday Support Fund is managed by the Football Stadia Improvement Fund (FSIF), which is financed by the Premier League and supports non-league and Women's Football Pyramid clubs with the cost of improvements to their grounds.
The Matchday Support Fund follows the recent Pitch and Club Preparation Funds, which saw £8.7m in grants awarded by the Premier League, The FA and Government's Football Foundation to prepare the country's playing surfaces and facilities for the return of football.
Robins' chairman Derek Graham said: "Clubs, including ours, are extremely grateful for the grant received to help us during this time. Every pound will go to helping the club get through this tough period and making sure that we can continue to have supporters safely in our ground. Together with our supporters, we can make sure our ground remains safe for all."
The Robins will be playing at home this Saturday in the Southern League against Cirencester Town. The match kicks off at 3pm and they are hoping for a bumper crowd .Tickets are available now online by clicking HERE : the We Are BA11 site
