Nerve shredding final minutes, as Oxford City attack Frome Town FC in the final moments of critical tie

It was a critical and historic game for the Frome Town Robins who took on Oxford City for their first match at this level for 110 years.
If that wasn't pressure enough Frome Town FC were holding a 2:1 lead when vital final minutes seemed to stretch for ever with constant attacks on the Frome goal. It was a second round qualifier for the Emirates FA Cup so there was a lot riding on it.
The game was a treat for fans - and the inspiring You Bring Us Joy banner from the Oxford City fans clearly rubbed off on both teams.
However after a goal from Oxford City was ruled offside, Frome took heart and put in some great pace so it wasn't long before the goals came.
The first from Number 18 James Ollis to steady the home town nerves. It was followed by a second by Number 3, Joseph O'Loughlin to take The Robins into the dressing room at half time 2:0 up.
But Oxford City came out blazing, and it was a cracker of a goal from Number 9, Elliot Benton, which seemed to put fire in their boots. As full time drew near it was attack after attack on the Frome goal, and although Man of the Match was Number 9 Alex Hallett, the big cheers as the final whistle blew for the goalie.
The team will now find out the next draw for the third qualifying round on Monday.
Attendance at the match : 586.
