It was congratulations all around on Saturday at Frome Town FC as a new player made their debut.

Former league player Ryan Harley was part of the team who won another game, the 13th winning game in a row at home, 3:0. That leave The Robins seven points clear at the top of their table.

But there were also big smiles from the success of the club's part in the

national crowdfunding campaign Kitmas, to help children across the UK enjoy a Christmas where they will receive a football kit they would otherwise not have received. The Club joined the campaign, working with Kitmas and Fair Frome, and set a goal of 25 Frome kits to distribute. However fans donations come in fast in support of the campaign and the final tally allowed the club to commit to a huge 97 shirts. Bob Ashford of Fair Frome said: "A huge thank you to all the Directors, Player and staff at Frome Town. And of course all the supporters who have donated to make this happen. This is a great partnership we are building with the club and I'm sure it will continue into the new year. Thank you all so very much." The club additionally presented an adult and child ticket to the home game in order to let the families enjoy a match for free this Christmas. Following this news, players and management team contributed 97 chocolate boxes to the campaign. Finally the youth team Frome Town United contributed 97 reading books. Marketing & Communications Director Scott Fitzgibbon said: "This is a huge win for the families in Frome and the club. "We hoped to reach 25 shirts, so to see how the supporters engaged and donated to reach 97 shirts was amazing. Then to see all parts of the club come together with Fair Frome to make 97 children in Frome's Christmas made that little bit better has been something to behold." Meantime on the pitch on Saturday, 36 year old midfielder Ryan Harley who joined the team ahead of their win against Willand Rovers. Exeter fan favourite Ryan played over 230+ games from the Grecians taking the club from the conference up to League One, before making a move in the Championship to Swansea and Brighton. Ryan joined Bath City for the 20/21 season, but has moved to The Robins to secure some additional game time. The Robins play next on Tuesday (December14), to the team placed third in that league, AFC Totton at 19.45, in Hampshire.
