The Somerset NHS coronavirus vaccine team will be at Frome College offering vaccines to students aged 16-18 who have not yet been able to get the jab.

In the letter sent out by the Principal, the vaccine will be offered to any student in that age group who has not yet been able to access a vaccine.

The closest centre to Frome when the vaccination programme was opened up to this age group was previously a drop in centre in Melksham.

The letter states: " Students in this age group do not require parental consent to receive the vaccine, however it would be very helpful to have the conversation with your children about the benefits of the vaccination to help them make an informed decision about whether to have the vaccine or not. "

Students at the college can book a jab via the Frog education link.
