After a gap in fixtures last weekend, the Frome RFC 2nd XV returned to League action when they welcomed Salisbury RFC 2nd XV to The Lane on Saturday.
The game kicked off with both sides seeking early territory, and Frome absorbed multiple attacks in the first exchanges with the visitors looking to move the ball wide, along with the Fly Half kicking for field position.
But Frome soon built on there possession with No.8 Eliki Bainimoli making multiple barnstorming runs from the base of the Scrum, breaking several would be tackles to gain valuable territory.
The first points of the day came from Frome, with the pack working tirelessly, Second Row Stuart Elliott went on a strong run to find the space and crash over. The conversion going just wide.
Frome were in control of the Scrums, setting a great platform for the Backline, the Front Row of Ali Fisher, Bruan Loftus and James Orman working hard throughout.
The following points would soon follow, but this time by the visitors, when Frome were pinged at the breakdown and the Salisbury side went for a kick at posts, which was duly converted.
Frome remained composed, and after regathering the the ball, with a great steal by Flanker Cameron Hastie the side looked to move the ball wide again.
Fly Half Simon Westlake looked to move the ball quickly and a break from Winger Williamson, the home side were now deep in the oppositions half.
With the try line in sight the Forwards drew the defence in well, with hard carries from replacement Ollie Phipps going close but just held short of the line, but a quick recycle of the ball saw fellow replacement James Gallop run a great support line to crash through the defence to dot down for the sides second try before half time. Westlake added the extras.

With the wind now behind them, Frome looked to build on the first half and started well with Flanker Matt Smith making a great break into the centre of the field.
Salisbury would soon get their tails up, and after dominating several breakdown's gained valuable field position and were camped once again in the Frome 22, and pick and go from the ruck looked as if the visitors would score, but a steal on the line from Gallop saw the pressure relieved.
It would take the home side a few minutes to regain structure and field position but a darting run from Hamish Day saw the side run deep into the Salisbury half, before being penalised for a tackle off the ball.
With a Frome Scrum in the visitors 22, the backline split, and a well worked move, straight from the training field saw No.8 Hastie pick from the base of the scrum before offloading to Webster who pushed the ball onto Westlake who put a pin point pass wide to Hamish Day, who crossed over for the bonus point try.
The conversion falling just short.
The final whistle blew and Frome devoured the home victory.
