Frome RFC are please to announce the new lineup to the Coaching Staff at The Lane, with Jonathan Dicker appointed as the new Head Coach, with Ryan Mee joining as Assistant Coach.

Frome RFC Director of Rugby, Garrie Webster had these words to say "I'd like to welcome Jon to Frome RFC, he brings a high level of passion, enthusiasm and ambition which we hope to match. Jon has experience at coaching some of our rivals over the years, most notably, Wells RFC who have always been a Club with extremely high standards of Rugby and a team we haven't had a great record against!

It's also my pleasure to welcome Ryan Mee back to the Frome senior section. Ryan has been part of our Senior coaching set up before when he was thrown in at the deep end early on during a season. He was also a 1st team member here at Frome for many years. He currently coaches in our Mini and Junior section also.

Ryan is fiercely competitive and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in both attack and defence where he was well known for his own skills in both areas!

I'm excited to see what the new coaching team can bring to us, and also where the journey will lead."

We caught up with the new Head Coach, Jonathan Dicker who had this to say "I look forward to the challenge and opportunity of coaching at driven and ambitious club.

Everyone at Frome have been extremely welcoming and I look forward to building into the season ahead. The opportunity here is really exciting, and one the player and coaching group feel lucky to be a part of."

Newly appointed Assistant Coach, Ryan Mee commented on his return "Looking at the young squad and professionalism that still remains around the club, it is a really exciting opportunity for me to work with a great coach and an incredible playing squad who want to learn and progress."

"From talking to the playing members, managers and backroom staff, regarding short-term and long-term goals, you can see that the club is in a very special place at the moment and the club has an unbelievable future ahead of it."

Frome RFC have kicked off preseason already and train each Tuesday and Thursday from 7pm at The Lane, the Club welcomes all ages and abilities, so if you are new to the area, fancy a change or are picking up the ball for the first time please reach out to us at [email protected].
