The Frome RFC 7s squad made the short trip to Corsham on Saturday for the much anticipated return of the Bath Combination Rugby 7s Tournament, which saw Clubs from across the Bath Combination area compete in both the Cup and Plate competitions.

Frome RFC Asst. Coach Ryan Mee selected a superb squad ahead of the weekend which saw two wins out of three in the Pool Stages with the side finish top of Pool A.

The Cup Quarter Finals would see Frome take on Combe Down RFC, a strong win against the Bath side saw them up against a very strong Chippenham RFC side in the Cup Semi Finals, but the loss saw the men in red, white & black knocked out. Chippenham would go on to play Trowbridge in the Finals with Trowbridge winning overall.

Pool A Results

Frome RFC 33 - 05 Colerne RFC

Frome RFC 21 - 14 Devizes RFC

Frome RFC 14 - 20 Corsham RFC

Cup Quarter Final

Frome RFC 40 - 21 Combe Down RFC

Cup Semi Final

Frome RFC 14 - 34 Chippenham RFC

Frome RFC's Player of the Tournament went to Sam Cassidy, who was a constant threat in attack and was immense defence.

A special mention must go to Murray White, who has stepped up into Senior Rugby and didn't look out of place against some top sides.

A huge thank you to everyone involved at Bath Combination and to this year's hosts Corsham RFC, a fantastic day & event. We can't wait until next year!
