The Club was delighted to announce that Senior Player Billy James had been selected to start for Somerset RFU U20's who took on Gloucestershire RFU U20's on this past Sunday in Cheltenham in the Jason Leonard County Championship.

Frome RFC Head Coach, Dominic Jones commented on the selection said: " We are really happy for the young man. He's been in great form this season and is continuing to grow as a player and develop. He's been mixing it up and does not take a backward step. Something we really love about Billy. I'm sure he'll do a great job for Somerset.

"We're extremely proud of him."

We also caught up with Director of Rugby, Garrie Webster who commented on the selection who said: " We are extremely proud of him from a Club perspective to have our Badge represented by Billy at County level. He continues to work hard and improves every week. His selection is well deserved and I wish him and Somerset the best of luck!"

A tough end to end fixture was played out, but it was the hosts Gloucestershire who eventually ran out 57-31 winners.
